This sounds about right, as a personal blog might look awkward if there was advertising on it as well. One would first feel like they were reading what someone felt like pointing out about their day, and would then notice advertising that wouldn’t seem that personal at all. Corporate blogs would also do well to avoid advertising, as it might say that their corporation has different intent than they appear to have.
